The Sole Mates
Gavin and Ann were married on the 5th of March, 2022 at the Orsett Hall Hotel in Grays, London. They were surrounded by friends and family. And even though the heavens opened and the rain poured there was no stopping the celebrations.
The morning of the wedding was bitterly cold with dark clouds and patches of rain, but in the far distance there was Ann. Her smile beaming from ear to ear welcoming family who had arrived to help set up the venue. We adventured upstairs, where the brides maids were so excited by the very spacious room that they got to spend the morning in.
Ann and I gathered all her details and I began to photograph them, with each item being carefully selected. For the pair of shoes is not just any shoes when they are worn by the bride, but they are the shoes that will carry her down the isle to Gavin. Ann's earrings and bracelets were chosen by Gavin, her vail completed the look with her elegant dress.
The ladies spent the morning getting ready and as the day went by Ann's nervousness grew, since the time where she would finally get to become Gavins wife was fast approaching.
Entering the beautiful chapel, I noticed that Gavin seemed to display the same level of emery, with his best man in tow the men chatted to some of the guests as they patiently waited for Ann's arrival. They didn't have long to wait but I'm sure that time felt like a life time for Gavin. As Ann walked down the Isle clutching to her dad, who beemed with joy for his daughter, she nervousness slowly started to dissapeer as she reached closer to Gavin. This is the point where you see their Love shine through for each other!
Gavin and Ann are each other's rocks and the person who brings them to their calm happy place where they both feel secure with each other. After the vows were said and the register signed it was official. They were now finally married!
They emerged with a very colourful exit marked with confetti and then onto some quick group pictures, while trying to avoid the rain. The couple pictures at Ann and Gavins wedding showed who they truly are together. How privileged are they to have found the person who they can laugh with, a true sole mate. They were both so excited to just hold each other and talk to each other by sharing a special moment where there was no need to ask them to smile as they both wear smiling from their hearts.
